Kitty Khaos

This game is about the war between an old and wise man, and his cats.
The main goal for the old man is to tidy his house in a limited time.
Meanwhile, the cats will have no pity for their owner, and want his failure.

This game has been designed and developped during the Global Game Jam 2024 evant. This is just a prototype as we have no time to finish to implement all the features. In order to make the demonstration, we have bound some keys/buttons to make the different characters act as the game was finished : it is so possible to see all animations even if it has no effect on the game itself. We have no time nor people to create sound effects nor music : too bad :-(

Each player can interact with different house items, such as the bed, the dishes, the television, ... . Each time a player activates an activity, a QTE interface appears and you have to be fast and sharp. If you pass this activity, your team score will increase.

On top of the screen is a bar : this is the anger level of the old man (because he loves his cats but they are so .... IMPOSSIBLE sometimes). His aim is to reduce this bar down to zero before the end of the time. Cats, on the opposite, shall make this bar stay as high as possible. The cats have to pass as much activities as possible such as eating the plants (and purge themselves somewhere else in the house), eat some cat food (or a pigeon) and have to poo, sharp their claws on the furnitures, ... Meanwhile, the human have to clean the dishes, take a shower and tidy its loft before going to bed. Of course he will have to clean all the mess created by the cats ^^.

This game allows to play from 2 to 3 players : at least one player shall select the human character.

Just plug your gamepad, press any button and play ! (you can also use the keyboard for one player).

Controls

Use gamepad or keyboard to move.

With the keayboard, use the arrows to move your character, use A, Z, or E to use the highlighted activity, or activate character animations (cat eating, cat purging, human sweeping, human cleaning dishes).

With the gamepad, press A, B, X to activate the highlighted activity, or previous described animation.
